Potty Training a 20 Month Old?

Brytenne has been very interested in the potty recently and we occasionally will put her on her little seat I got for her and she will pee and be so excited! She has also been letting me know that she has to poop or that she just did. I wasn't sure if I was ready to try or even if she was fully ready but she is one smart cookie sooooo we are going to attempt it! My mom came down yesterday to watch her for a couple of hours and while we were away she took Brytenne to Walmart to make a couple of purchases. Aunt Mickie went along to help pick stuff out. Marcus and I arrived home to find my mom had kindly purchased Miss B a deluxe potty (that sings when you pee), some cute little panties (with Minnie Mouse) and some pull-ups for naps. We are going to attempt our first day at panties. I am highly doubtful that she will be able to do it a such a young age but you never know! I am hoping that I have the level of patience needed for such a big task! I did some serious researching online last night and think I have put together a plan that will work best for her and her temperament. Wish us luck!

2 Years to Eternity!

Today I woke up feeling very grateful and blessed. I have struggled with gratitude lately and after a wonderful Young Women's lesson that I gave yesterday on overcoming obstacles I can see just how much my family has been given. Today marks the 2 year anniversary that Marcus and I were able to be sealed for time and all eternity! I don't have the words to describe the feelings I have for this wonderful blessing in our lives. Our Heavenly Father has given us the wonderful gift of forgiveness through the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. Not only do we have this but it is continuous! It does not matter how many times we mess things up, we can always be forgiven and overcome obstacles and challenges. We get lots of chances to start over, as long as we are willing to do so and turn to him. I sit here and look at my beautiful picture of the Bountiful Temple and look back 2 years ago at the best decision I made for myself and my family. This time on earth is not easy and it definitly requires us to work daily on bettering ourselves so that we can help lift others up. "Christ doesn't just make up the difference. He makes all the difference." -Brad Wilcox I can't wait to spend forever with my family but for now I am going to enjoy every minute I get with them in this life.

Lava Family Fun

"Cute Cousins"

Carson Sorensen & Brytenne Myers

We have returned from our trip up to my parents property in Lava & let me tell you what a blast it was! It was kind of a little family reunion of sorts? Friday the 29th of July would have been my Grandpa Darrell's (Dad's Pavo)100th birthday! So why not get together & PARTY! My Mom, Brytenne and myself went up earlier on Wednesday so we could have some Nana time! We went to the pool on Thursday just the three of us and then on Friday my Dad, Aunt Ara and Mickie were able to join us! It seriously was so much fun! It was nice to have some good laughs with them. Friday night the rest of the crew started arriving and we were able to sit around and enjoy each others company. Plus we had a fire that night and that is my favorite all time camping activity! The next morning we had "minute it to win it" games. This was HILARIOUS!! We also had a squirt gun fight with targets. You should have seen some of my crazy cousin running up and down through the brush! We should get together like this more often in my opinion. Brytenne and I had to leave Saturday evening but we left with some great memories, and gratitude for our family.
